Ten years of Big Bang Theory: How about Penny, Sheldon and Co.?
“Big Bang Theory” premiered ten years ago. Now season 11 has started in the United States. How did the show originally start and what about favorites Penny and Sheldon?

On September 24, 2007, “The Big Bang Theory” premiered on the US television station CBS. In the meantime, the popular TV series about nerds has conquered the hearts of viewers around the world. So far the sitcom has been extended to a twelfth season and has also received a spin-off around the star, Sheldon Cooper.

10 seasons of “Big Bang Theory”: Penny, Sheldon and Leonard have changed a lot
On Monday, September 25, the 11th season now celebrated its premiere on US television. Many fans are eagerly awaiting the continuation of the nerd series, but some also regret that the sitcom is now more dedicated to relationships rather than the scientific successes of the physicists.

It all started when Penny (played by Kaley Cuoco) moved into the physicists’ flat opposite, consisting of Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Leonard (Johnny Galecki). After ten years a lot has changed: Leonard has finally won Penny’s heart, and Sheldon seems to have found his true love.

But without the rest of the nerd gang, “The Big Bang Theory” would not be the same: Although “Howardette” has now grown by one family member, this doesn’t stand in the way of the bromance of Raj (Kunal Nayyar) and Howard (Simon Helberg). Also indispensable are Amy (Mayim Bialik) and Bernadette (Melissa Rauch), without whom Sheldon and Howard would probably never have found true love.

Relationship stuff aside – the scientists have also made some breakthroughs. Howard was on the International Space Station and Leonard was with Stephen Hawking in the North Sea. In the course of the 10th season Leonard, Sheldon and Howard work on a secret project for the US military – parallel to this one of the nerd couples starts a scientific project together.

“Big Bang Theory stars Kaley Cuoco and Jim Parsons look forward to season 11
One thing is certain: For the stars of the successful series it seems to be no problem to hold the same roles for ten years. On the social media, they shared with the fans their joy of recording the new episodes of the 11th season live in front of an audience and being allowed to continue playing their respective characters:

Penny actress Kaley Cuoco shared a Polaroid recording of the cast on Instagram. It shows Melissa Rauch as pregnant Bernadette.

Jim Parsons, who plays the adult Sheldon, also approached his fans through Instagram. He not only promoted “The Big Bang Theory” but also the spin-off “Young Sheldon”, which also premiered on September 25th. The sitcom deals with the youth of Sheldon in conservative Texas. rlb
