Sheldon Cooper | Big Bang Theory Wiki
Dr. Dr. Sheldon Lee Cooper B.Sc., M.Sc., M.A., Dr.rer.nat., Dr.phil. is a main character from The Big Bang Theory. In the new spin-off series ” Young Sheldon” he also plays the leading role. There he talks about his childhood in Texas.

Life
Sheldon was born in Texas and lived there as a child. He works as a theoretical physicist at CalTech (California Institute of Technology). He has an IQ of 187, the highest of the four boys. Due to his high intelligence and eidetic memory he skipped some classes, so he attended college at the age of eleven and graduated at 14. In addition, even as a child he tried to build complex devices such as an X-ray machine, an acoustic death ray, a nuclear reactor and a high-power furnace. When he was twelve, to his disappointment, he got a mountain bike for his birthday, although he had wished for a titanium centrifuge. He was also “tormented” with bouncy castles and the like. Sheldon was never very popular as a child, so he preferred to devote himself to his research. He probably likes the Ubuntu operating system the most of all. Nevertheless, he has a “Dell XPS M1710 Special Edition Red” laptop with Windows Vista from seasons 1-3. Starting with the episode “Terror in the City of Roses”, he has a “Dell Alienware M17x R2 Nebula Red” laptop with Windows 7, which doesn’t suit him due to the improved usability. He also owns an Apple Macbook with a red cover, which he uses to Skype with Amy.

Nature and behaviour
Sheldon is very clumsy in dealing with other people and only learns to understand or use jokes and sarcasm himself in the course of the series. After he makes a joke, he usually says ” Bazinga!” He is a big fan of the comic series The Flash, Superman, Justice League of America, Batman and Green Lantern, so he often wears their fan shirts. Furthermore he often wears shirts of the brand Volcolmund Special Blend.

Sheldon is using telepathy to melt Leonard’s brain

When he’s angry with Leonard, he also thinks he can make Leonard’s brain explode with a kind of “heat vision,” which doesn’t work, of course, but Sheldon insists that he’ll get there eventually. However, when he’s angry with both Leonard and Howard and Raj, he tries to strangle them using the Force, sometimes wearing a Darth Vader helmet. He also admires Mr. Spock from Star Trek.

He feels intellectually superior to all his fellow men (which is actually true) and doesn’t know any humility about pointing out, which also explains why he has so few friends. In his opinion, Stephen Hawking is possibly the only person in the world who can match Sheldon.

It is also characteristic of Sheldon that he is pedantic in his adherence to habits, patterns, and self-made rules under all circumstances, which is like obsessive-compulsive behavior. For example, his fixed seat on the sofa and the roommate agreement. Since Penny does not always adhere to these rules, he initially disagrees with Leonard’s friendship with her and is all the more annoyed when Penny and Leonard become a couple and Penny has been staying in the apartment constantly ever since.

Sheldon was brought up very conservatively and Christian in East Texas, but is not religious himself. His mother takes care of him in a very touching way. Leonard envies him again for this family environment, because his own mother hardly pays attention to him and resembles Sheldon very much in her behaviour. (see also: Sheldon’s family)

He often points out to his fellow men their mistakes and errors, but considers himself infallible and never really admits a mistake on his part. He considers himself one of the greatest minds of his time and probably is. In group activities he always tries to assert his will and never gives up this point of view.

An example is the incident when friends were planning to go to the movies but Sheldon had a problem at almost every movie theater, so Leonard, Howard and Raj ended up going to the movies without Sheldon.

The attachment to his family
He has no particularly strong ties to his family, apart from his mother and grandmother. To his twin sister, Missy, he had, in his opinion, the strongest bond when they had to share an amniotic sac. He also has a brother named George Cooper, of whom nothing is known except his name. According to Sheldon’s mother, her other two children were “stupid w
