Attention, spoilers for the “The Big Bang Theory” final will follow!
Nerdy scientists who have to deal with the society surrounding them and especially with women – that was the basic premise of the hit series “The Big Bang Theory”, which is known to end in 2019 after twelve seasons.
With an XXL episode, the popular characters bid farewell and now it’s time for all stars of the show to look for new projects.
But how exactly did the farewell take place behind the scenes for the actors? There were already some stories and pictures were already circulating on the net, on which the handkerchiefs were piled up. That’s probably how it will look like for many fans, especially when they watch the new video from the preparations to the very last episode.
The Big Bang Theory: Emotional script reading
As it is usual in a series, there is a joint script reading with the cast before each new episode. It was the same with “The Big Bang Theory”. However, when they got together for the final episode it didn’t come as a surprise that it became very emotional. And everyone was there: In the clip you can see Jim Parsons (playing Sheldon) reading the last words of his great Nobel Prize speech and listening to Johnny Galecki (Leonard), Kaley Cuoco (Penny), Melissa Rauch (Bernadette), Kunal Nayyar (Raj), Simon Helberg (Howard), Mayim Bialik (Amy) as well as Kevin Sussman (Stuart) and Brian Posehn (Bert). When a little later the acoustic version of the title song sounds, all the dams break. But see for yourself:
Not a dry eye remains dry. Afterwards you can see all participants applauding and falling into each other’s arms. Producers Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady can also be seen. “It just goes beyond anything I ever thought the show could be,” Cuoco says to Lorre. ” I love it so much. ” Prady is also very touched as he hugs Galecki: “Thanks for all this.” There will be no more episodes of “The Big Bang Theory”. But in this country, ProSieben will continue to provide all fans with many reruns. And then there is the offshoot “Young Sheldon”: The third season started recently, every Monday at 8:15 pm a new episode is shown.
